New Zealand is over 11,000 miles (as a very tired crow flies) away from Wales - almost completely the other side of the world.

We left home at 3.30am on Saturday morning (UK local time)
and finally arrived at our Auckland motel at 1.40am (NZ local time) Monday morning (which works out as 12.40pm Sunday afternoon UK local time)

A total trip time of 33 hours and 10 minutes - a marathon trip in anyone's book!
A total distance of approx 12145 miles.

We wanted to get to New Zealand and spend time touring on the bike. If you're travelling for a holiday though, we'd wholeheartedly recommend stopping over on the way to break up the trip and give you some non-flying time; to "rest" and catch up with the time zone changes.
